Day 13 Completed. Fantastic Day..

Another fast moving exciting day...
Time Trials, Regularities and even a quick lunch break. We also managed to fit in a good soaking and there was me thinking that the Monks had said a little prayer for us today..

was up early to take part in a 6.30am feeding of the Monks outside the Hotel. They make their way to The Temple every morn and hotel guests are invited to purchase a 100 Bhat (£2) goody bag toplace  in their begging bowls.. They then chanted something to me (all 3 of them) as i kneeled down in front of them with hands in prayer position. Very moving and then they were off to the next hotel..

The Hotel Manager told me that to be a Monk you have abide by 227 'commandments' where as the Layman only has 5... But when i asked him about the iphones that they seem to carry around!! He said that they ARE allowed to Communicate lol

A relaxing breakfast on the terrace for Martin & Tommy in The Lagonda.. :))

While we await our 'check out' time..

Think the porters were glad to see the back of us...

On route today ...

It is definately Harvest time here and the roads were quite busy with lorries taking away their crops (bamboo & pineapples)

So a lot of careful manoevering around these large obstacles!!
Roads today on the whole were really good. Lots of brand new black tops..

Coffee Stop at the Temple ..

So many dogs around.. Maybe the Monks should start a 'spaying / neutering' Programme here..
So sad to see them lurking around at every corner looking for food. :((

How this old 'father time' survived so long.. He must have been at least 12 years old at least. Ahhhh ...

Couldnt resist some new head gear...

Then back on the road..

And onto the 1st Test of the Day..
Which i thought we had really messed up by taking a left turn when it was just an observation comment lol

But we just looked at the Result Board
And we didnt do that badly !!

The 2nd Test was a blast on rough ground - great fun...

And then the clouds opened and we got a soaking.. Not once but Twice!!!
My job was to keep the Trip Master dry especially after the last fiasco on day 2 when we lost all power and headed over 20km in the wrong direction.. Thus picking up pesky penalty points lol

David battled on through it all..

And then back to a new base this evening and what a peculiar quirky place it is.. 'Kosit Hill Hotel' ...
Collections of everything here in wooden cases and shelves and all sorts everywhere.. The poor cleaner must have one heck of a feather duster to keep this lot sorted.. Rex would have been impressed with 'Madams' collection..

Our own private car space.. They are looking after us well here..

And then off we went to party in the  German/Swiss quarters ...

The Cars are resting after another 'slaughtering' but the Party goes on...
Alas not for Team Itala.
Chauffeur # 1 is sound asleep...
