Day 22 to Inle Lake

Another Surreal Day just like on a movie set taking in all the local customs and getting a tiny insight into what goes on in Burma.

The Burmese work the land so hard. Sunflower & Rice seem to be the crops of the area today.. The Ox & carts is still in great demand here and all the family seem to get involved...
Dogs, chickens, pigs, goat & cattle just wander freely and live side by side in their straw huts...

Everyone is so friendly and seem happy to see us and chuckle out loud.. Lol
I think they think we are some kind of agricultural vehicle but travelling at great speed. It can prove quite 'hairy scarey' when trying to overtake tho!!!
The lorry drivers are very helpful and let us pass as suitable safe moments.
We have now learnt that their left indicator when travelling behind them now means that it is safe for us to pass.. And the right indicator means 'no go'... Very useful to know.. But still we cant take any risks and i still am shouting and flapping my hands when danger approaches!!!!!

We arrive early at our Hotel to be told that the monks wont let us park our cars in their monastry carpark so we are told to park in a field lol David wasnt too impressed but we are assured that security is watching over.. That is what David is concerned about lol

Waiting for the bus to take us and the luggage up to the hotel...

Wow very impressed with our Lodge on the Lakes..

Off for the 'must do' boat ride to watch the one legged fishermen lol - well they paddle with one leg anyway. One leg on the boat and one leg wrapped around a paddle.. How strange lol

And a stop off at the Lotus Silk Mill and a quick shopping experience!!

And homeward bound in time for Supper
